During the evening, Giacchino treated the student audience to an exclusive journey through his filmmaking career, from highlighting his collaboration with Marvel Studios on听Director by Night听to exploring the emotional resilience of a French Resistance fighter in听Colette.

A highlight of the event was Giacchino鈥檚 presentation of his latest documentary project,听My Name is Petrosino, which investigates the life of Detective Joe Petrosino, a pioneering Italian immigrant to the U.S. who was the only NYPD officer killed overseas in the line of duty. Through a carefully curated slideshow of archival documents from the early 1900s, Giacchino explored the historical and cultural significance of Petrosino's unsolved 1909 murder, shedding light on the early battle against organized crime and the immigrant experience in America.
